2017 Canadian Hot Jelly Champion
A brand new item produced just days before the 16th annual Similkameen Sizzle pepper festival in Keremeos, British Columbia by JamBusters! took the top award in the Hot Jelly Category. Called Ghost Pepper Jelly, the rich red-coloured jelly features pieces of Ghost peppers in suspension along with red bell peppers. A blind taste test scored this product as the winner at the event held September 16, 2017.
It quickly became a hot item during the day at Memorial Park in the Lower Similkameen Valley community as all available stock sold out. Watch for Ghost Pepper Jelly to be a regular addition to the complete line of JamBusters! jams, jelly, salsas and more! |

2016 Canadian Hot Jelly and Salsa Campions
Two new products introduced during 2016 took two of the top awards at the 15th annual Similkameen Sizzle Pepper Festival in Keremeos, British Columbia. A blind taste test conducted on site September 17, 2016 saw JamBusters! hottest salsa "The Grim Heater" which contains Ghost Peppers take 1st Place in the Salsa Category. The new JamBusters! spicy jelly named "Red Hot Pepper Jelly" which has Red Thai Peppers in the recipe took 1st Place in the Hot Jelly Category.
It has been a tremendous year for JamBusters! which saw many new products created and added to our brand as well as regular weekly vending dates. Watch for JamBusters! to appear in a venue near you if you live in the Southern Interior of British Columbia, Canada. |

2014 Canadian Champion Hot Sauce
Okay, we really didn't expect this to happen so soon considering we've been busy splitting time between the JamBusters lab, the JamBusters kitchen and chasing butterflies, rainbows and...where were we? Oh, right. The new stuff and the awards. In mid-September 2014 we created a brand new product for a big reveal on September 20, 2014 at the Similkameen Sizzle.
That is the only pepper festival held in Western Canada - some say in all of Canada - and it happens to be in Keremeos, British Columbia which is 66-kilometres away from the JamBusters kitchen AND the very location some of the fresh produce comes from in the JamBusters product line. One of the new line of products we called 'Hellish Relish' because it contains an insane amount of hot peppers. We're not talking those pansy jalapeno peppers everyone raves about as having some serious pain-inducing heat, either. Hellish Relish went above and beyond and used habanaro peppers instead. Our official tester still has not regained complete sense of feeling on the left side of his face and he only LOOKED at the recipe.
The Hellish Relish was entered into the Hot Sauce Contest as part of Sizzle and walked away with TWO AWARDS! It was awarded First Place in the 'Specialty Hot Sauce' Category and also won FIRST PLACE 'Overall' making it the 2014 Champion Hot Sauce in all of Canada! As you can imagine, jars of it flew out of the coolers at the JamBusters vending booth the rest of the afternoon. There are still jars available of this batch with more to come. Our official tester should be able to actually get a sample near his tongue by then. Those who have actually tried 'Hellish Relish' say that the burn does subside and blends well with the fruity mixture of pears that give the sauce an interestingly tropical hint.
