IPOW Teapot Extra Fine Tea Infuser Steeper Strainer with Lid and Handle
When George started moving away from using tea bags and digging further into loose leaf teas he needed a tea infuser. One of the ones he liked is this one as it is made of non-magnetic stainless steel (one of his requirements) and it has a stainless steel lid and an easy grip handle. The product has a three inch outer diameter and is easy to use. Once you fill your cup with hot water and have filled this tea infuser with your desired loose leaf tea, sit it in the cup to steep. Other bonuses include easy cleaning and small holes to keep leaves and bits inside the infuser for steeping.
Express Tea Maker & Infuser with Glass Cup Set by Tealux
This is a pretty ingenious twist on the whole idea of steeping tea and using the forces of gravity to create a perfect cup of tea or coffee. The bonus here is that this set includes a free glass mug and sample tea. How it works is simple: once you fill the filter in the tea steeper with loose leaf tea or ground coffee you pour boiling water over it and allow to steep. Once it has steeped place the tea maker on top of a cup and a drip-type spout opens allowing your perfect cup of hot beverage to flow into the cup. It’s that simple. The tea and coffee maker has a 500ml capacity and the glass cup holds 400ml.
Tea Forte Single Steeps Loose Tea Sampler
This is probably George’s favourite ‘introductory sampler’ of loose leaf teas. If you are just discovering the difference in tea steeped in this manner, you’ll find this tea sampler the perfect place to start exploring. Each sample packet is perfectly measured to create a great cup of tea and there is an excellent selection in this collection. You will receive three packets each of Earl Grey, Forte Breakfast, Chamomile Citron, Green Mango Peach and Ginger Lemongrass. George says he is fond of both the Peach and Lemongrass selections. As these pouches are pre-portioned, you can steep by putting the contents in a teapot or infuser.
Underground Toys DR182 Doctor Who Tardis Teapot
Now the moment you’ve been waiting for…the Doctor Who connection. George will be the first to admit he is still very much a ‘newbie’ Whovian but he does like the show and finds the whole idea of a phone booth, or police box, (the TARDIS) as a space and time travel vehicle quite amusing but adds a particular flavour to the character of the program. With that thought in mind, to the true Whovian, this Doctor Who Tardis Teapot is not only a collectible, it will add character to tea time. It’s a ceramic masterpiece that looks so much like the Tardis that you’d swear the Doctor and his Companion will suddenly appear at your dinner table to join you for tea. This is a great conversation piece and makes a mighty fine cup of tea.
This blog post was inspired by my husband’s interest in tea and a particularly unusual British program that has worldwide popularity. It’s a popularity that sometimes makes it hard for me to tell if he gets more excited by trying a new tea variety or watching a new episode of Doctor Who.
